  Great place to visit with the kids. Fantastic play ground. Lovely walks around several lakes. Does smell a bit on hot days though.

  The Country Park is a great place for a quiet walk away from traffic and manicured lawns. The lakes host a good range of water birds, and the trees and bushes have many other birds - last visit I caught a glimpse of a Great Spotted Woodpecker. There's a couple of playgrounds for children of different ages, and every Saturday morning at 9.00 there's a park run. The whole place is funded by donations, so do remember to pay for your parking and drop in to the cafe for a cup of tea and a cake.

  Absolutely loved this place when we visited! Lovely parkland and woods, and some beautiful lakes,with fantastic variety of water birds. Lovely café with a veranda overlooking the lake made it the perfect place to relax after a parkrun!
